How do I book a session at Race Mode? The easiest way to book is through our website. If you don’t see the options you’re looking for or have specific requirements, feel free to reach out to us via the Contact Us form or email us directly at racecontrol@race-mode.co.uk. We're happy to answer any questions and help you get booked in.
-
What should I wear for sim racing?Comfort is key when it comes to sim racing. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Since we're based in a large commercial unit, it can get quite chilly in the winter months—even indoors—so bringing a few layers is a good idea. That said, once you're racing, you'll probably warm up quickly! For footwear, flat shoes with thin soles work best, as they give you better feel and control over the brake and accelerator pedals.
-
Are there any age, height, or weight restrictions for the simulators?Yes, there are some general guidelines -please refer to our Terms & Conditions for details. If you think you or your child might fall outside the standard size range, contact us before booking so we can advise. Younger drivers sometimes find the force feedback in the steering a bit strong. We can adjust that, so just let a staff member know if you'd like it toned down.
-
Will someone show me how to use the simulators?Yes - we’ve got you covered! No experience is necessary. We’ll guide you through the controls and get you up to speed. If you're struggling with a particular car, track, or corner, we’re also happy to offer tips and support throughout your session.
-
How do I choose a car and track? We’ve got a wide selection of cars and tracks to suit all experience levels. You can browse some popular choices in the Cars & Tracks section of our website. If you have something specific in mind, let us know - we’re happy to help you choose or check availability.
-
Can I bring spectators?Yes! Spectators are welcome. We have limited seating available, and our big screen displays live lap times and performance stats so they can follow the action.
-
Are Race Mode events only for serious sim racers? Not at all! Our events welcome drivers of all skill levels. The most enjoyable events usually have a mix of experience levels, and we aim to keep things fun, sociable, and beginner-friendly. If you’re keen to give it a go, you’ll be made to feel right at home.
-
Can Race Mode open outside regular hours? We do offer private and group bookings outside our standard opening times when staffing allows. If you’re interested in a special booking, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
-
Is Race Mode dog friendly?Absolutely - well-behaved dogs are welcome! Just please ensure your dog is supervised and under control during your visit.
